Category: Poetry
No más amor que el Tuyo,
¡Oh Corazón Divino!
El pueblo filipino
Te da su corazón.
En templos y en hogares
Te invoque nuestra lengua;
Tú reinarás sin mengua
De Aparri hasta Joló.
Ha tiempo que esperamos
Tu imperio en el Oriente;
La Fe de Filipinas
Es, como el sol, ardiente;
Como la roca firme;
Inmensa, como el mar.
La iniquidad no puede
Ser de estas Islas dueña,
Que izada en nuestros montes
Tu celestial enseña,
Las puertas del infierno
No prevalecerán.

No more love than Yours,
Oh Divine Heart!
The Filipino people
Give you their heart.
In temples and at home
Our tongue invokes you;
You will reign steadily
From Aparri to Jolo.
For awhile we waited for
Your empire in the East;
The Faith of the Philipines
It's, like the sun, burning;
Like a solid rock;
Immense, like the ocean.
The iniquity cannot
Be in control of these islands,
A raising [of the flag?] in our mountains
Your heavenliness teaches,
The gates of hell
Will not prevail.
